The JCSDO started implementing the “Civil Society Development Project (CSDP)” to promote community participation in transforming democracy and peace in the region in 2007.
In June 2012, the Jeepyah Education Service (JES) was set up and registered to strengthen civil society, empower human resources, and advocate community cooperation with the government. In 2017, the Jeepyah Civil Society Development Organization (JCSDO) was registered with the Mon State administrator. The JCSDO is a non-partisan and non-profit organization.
The JCSDO implements capacity development, women involvement, advocacy for community cooperation, strengthening civil society, and access to education programs to boost qualified human resources, good governance to transform federal democracy and sustain peace in the region.
The JCSDO effectively and efficiently provides many pieces of training, workshops, and short-term school to encourage knowledge, skill, experience, and mental development of rural and marginalized people such as civic education training, program and organization management (POM) course school, political school training, organization development workshop, public consultation workshop, advocacy to members of parliament and government, leadership training, training for the trainer (ToT) in leadership, voter education training, reducing drug using consultation, computer training, legal awareness training, gender awareness training, gender-based violence training, community needs assessment in its target area.
